According to media reports, the Wagner Group allegedly shot down a Russian helicopter in the Voronezh Oblast region. The Voronezh Oblast region lies on the way from the rebel-held city of Rostov-on-Don to Moscow.
Russia Alerted Its Citizens
Following the incident, authorities in Voronezh have warned residents to stay away from the highway. It is claimed that the fighters of the Wagner Group are moving towards Moscow from the highway. Earlier, Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Wagner Group, had claimed that his troops had taken over the Rostov Army Headquarters.

A video of the shooting down of a Russian helicopter is going viral on social media, in which it can be seen that something has exploded, after which balloons of smoke are rising. Users are allegedly sharing it as a video of a Russian helicopter. However, there has been no official confirmation of this yet.

Not only this, according to media reports, it is being said that the Wagner Group has taken control of Voronezh, about 500 km (310 mi) south of Moscow. It is the second city to be held by the rebel group. Earlier, 62-year-old Prigozhin, head of the Wagner Group, said his forces had taken control of several military sites, including the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don.
