These days America is planning to evacuate its citizens living in Taiwan. The Biden administration fears American citizens will be most affected if China attacks Taiwan. In such a situation, a plan is being prepared to evacuate American citizens from Taiwan even before the war. America fears that China can attack Taiwan anytime.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had said that China is encircling Taiwan faster than he thought. The recently leaked intelligence report of the US Defense Ministry also mentioned China’s invasion of Taiwan.
America Has Been Preparing For The Last Six Months
According to The Messenger.com, a senior US intelligence official told on the condition of anonymity that the plan to evacuate American citizens from Taiwan has been going on for at least six months. It has seen a boom in the last few months. The official said that strengthening China’s relations with Russia has forced us to increase our preparedness. He also stressed that US citizens in Taiwan are completely safe, and there is no need to issue any orders publicly.
Russia’s Invasion Of Ukraine Forced America
The report pointed out that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 has forced the US to plan an evacuation from Taiwan. The US administration has not made many announcements for civilians, although Lt. Col. Martin Meiners said we are not expecting any war in the Taiwan Strait.
Meanwhile, Washington said on Tuesday that senior US and Chinese diplomats were close to an agreement on maintaining an open line to prevent tensions in Beijing from escalating into conflict. A team of US officials led by Deputy Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink has arrived in China.
American Intelligence Report Mentions Chinese Preparations
The Pentagon’s leaked intelligence document revealed that the Chinese Air Force could launch an airstrike on Taiwan anytime. The US intelligence report says Taiwan’s defence capabilities should be ready for China’s invasion. According to the documents, Pentagon officials claim Taiwan can never match China’s airstrikes. At the same time, Taiwan officials claim that their air defences can accurately detect the missile launch.
