South Korea Takes North Korea To Court, Find Out Why They’re Asking For $35 Million

In a unique case, South Korea has filed a case against its neighbour North Korea. South Korea has also sought $35 million in damages from Kim Jong Un’s country. In 2020, North Korea used explosives to demolish South Korea’s office in its border city of Kaesong. After the incident, the tension between the two countries reached its peak.

Indicative Lawsuit FilediIn Seoul Central District Court

According to the news agency AP, South Korea has filed an indemnity suit against North Korea in connection with blowing up a joint liaison office just north of their border in 2020. The tension between the two neighbouring countries increased after the nuclear talks between the US and North Korea got stuck. The symbolic lawsuit was filed in the Seoul Central District Court amid growing concerns over North Korea’s nuclear weapons and missile programs.

Koo Byoung-sam, Seoul’s Unification Ministry spokesman, called the bombing illegal and violent. They say the incident violated the previous agreements between the two countries. Ku said this was the first case the South Korean government had ever filed against the North Korean government. This case has been filed to get compensation.

However, people related to the matter believe that it will not make any significant difference to the health of North Korea because Kim Jong Un’s country refuses to obey any international law. He doesn’t even care about a country like America.

Keep in mind that North Korea is currently engaged in the mission of missile launch. Because of this, a high alert has also been issued in the countries under its control, South Korea and Japan. Both countries do not consider Kim Jong Un’s activities right for themselves. He says that North Korea is continuously making a dent in the security of both countries by keeping international rules in check. This attitude of his is not right at all.
