Saudi-China Relation Effect On India: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted the 10th Arab-China Business Conference. The event was organized between 11-12 June 2023 at the Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh. The main purpose of this program was to invest in the business between China and the Arab country, keeping in view the economy.
30 investment agreements were signed on the first day of the 10th Arab-China Business Summit. Under this, a deal of about 10 billion dollars was done. The areas given priority in this agreement included technology, natural energy sources, agriculture, real estate, mining, tourism and the health sector.
Cause Of Concern For India
The growing friendship between Saudi Arabia and China can be a cause of concern for India somewhere. The main reason behind this is that China has to make agreements with countries with good relations with India.
For example, in the recent G-20 meeting held in Srinagar, Saudi Arabia abstained at the behest of China. At the same time, Pakistan also objected. Apart from Saudi, China, Turkey, and Egypt also did not send any officials from their side to attend the meeting.
China’s Plan Against India
China had earlier helped restore diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. After this, now China has a business deal with Saudi Arabia. This can also prove to be China’s ploy against India because the way China is trying to strengthen its hold in Middle-East countries can be a matter of concern for India.
On the other hand, according to the news published by BBC recently, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that billions of rupees are lying in Russian Indian banks, but Russia cannot use these rupees. After Russia attacked Ukraine last year, India talked about doing business in rupees. But so far, no deal has been done in Rs. All these things indicate that China is cleverly playing tricks to spoil India’s relations with other countries.
