Russian President Vladimir Putin To Visit China Soon; Here’s What’s On The Agenda

Vladimir Putin China Visit: The Kremlin said on Wednesday (July 12) that President Vladimir Putin will soon visit China. Now is an excellent time to strengthen the already strong ties between the two countries.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a news briefing that the date for Putin’s visit to China would be announced when it is finalised. He said, Now is the right time to maintain high momentum in developing bilateral Russian-Chinese relations. He also said when the visit dates would be agreed upon and informed to all.

Russia and China Relations

Russia has strengthened its economic, trade, political and military ties with China following its decision to send thousands of troops to Ukraine, bringing relations with the West to a post-Cold War low. Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have committed to a no-limit partnership weeks before Russia launches special military operations in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Let us inform you that Xi Jinping visited Moscow in March this year and made several economic and other agreements with Putin. China is a major buyer of Russian oil and gas. It also sought to ease tensions in Ukraine and end the war, but Kyiv and its Western allies rejected the plan, saying it would offset Russian territorial gains.

There Will Be Talks On Various Issues

During Putin’s visit to Beijing, Pskov said the two presidents will focus on cooperation and global issues. Peskov added We have excellent prospects for further discussions and, most importantly, constructive dialogue, based on the similarity of the approaches of Moscow and Beijing to the essence of international relations.
