Russian Helicopters Open Fire on Wagner Convoy; Helicopter Footage Goes Viral

Russia’s Private Army Group Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin announced a rebellion against the Putin government on Saturday (June 24). After this, a situation like civil war is visible in the country. Tanks were deployed on the streets of Moscow, and the commanders were ordered to shoot. Amidst all this, the Russian army fired on Wagner’s military convoy on the National Highway M4 outside the city of Voronezh on Saturday with the help of helicopters.

According to the Reuters report, the National Highway M4 falls in the middle of Rostov to Moscow. Immediately after the attack by the Russian army, the governor of the Voronezh region restored emergency services at the scene. On Telegram, Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev informed that more than 100 fire brigades are at the scene.

Capture Of Army Facility Center

Earlier on Saturday, a Russian security source told news agency Reuters that Wagner fighters had captured the Army Facility Center in Voronezh, about 500 km south of Moscow.

However, the claim cannot be fully confirmed. Army Facility centrally located in Rostov serves as the main rear logistics hub for the entire assault force of Russia. During this, security has been increased on the streets of Moscow.

The Biggest Threat To The Leadership

President Putin immediately addressed the country after the rebellion of Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin. He said during the address that he would take necessary action on Prigozhin. Apart from this, while condemning the rebellion, Putin called the incident a backstabbing.

Putin said that Wagner had betrayed us. Putin has been in power in Russia for the last two decades, and at this time, Prigozhin’s rebellion is the biggest threat to his leadership.
