What is Russia’s Highest Honor
If we talk about Russia’s highest honour, it was established in 1698 by Tsar Peter the Great. It was established in honour of Saint Andrew, the first apostle of Jesus Christ and the patron saint of Russia. This honour was given only for any category’s most outstanding civilian or military merit. It has been used for ceremonial events in Russia for centuries.
