IMF Is Not Giving Money, Finance Minister Of Pakistan Lost His Temper; Slapped Reporter

Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar recently lost his temper and slapped a reporter. The video of this incident is now going viral. The reporter asked questions about the program of the International Monetary Fund from the Finance Minister in the Pakistani Parliament House on Thursday, After which Ishaq Dar slapped him. According to Pakistani media Dawn, the Pakistani Finance Minister came out of the Parliament House after addressing the National Assembly session. Then a reporter asked him questions related to IMF.

The reporter has been identified as Shahid Qureshi. The reporter has shared a video of the incident. In the video, Dar can be seen walking down the stairs when the reporter asks him, “Dar sahib, kya aap baat karenge?” Dar replied, “After speaking so much, I have just come out.”

Next, the reporter asked if the IMF deal was happening. The reporter then referred to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting with the IMF chief in Paris. However, Dar did not respond and remained silent.


Reporter Qureshi then asked the Pakistani government why the failure to get the deal, to which the finance minister replied, “Because people like you are in the system.” Responding to the statement, the reporter again said, “We are not in the system” and added, “We just ask questions”. By then, Dar, who had reached the parking lot, angrily turned towards Qureshi. Dar asked the journalist, “What do you want?” Qureshi asked the minister, “Why are you fighting, sir?” At this point, the minister’s security guards intervened and took the minister towards the vehicle; Dawn reported.
