On Thursday, Pakistan launched a multi-mission communication satellite with China’s help, facilitating faster internet connectivity. This is Islamabad’s second satellite to be sent into space within a month. Earlier, the iCube Qamar payload was sent with China’s Chandrayaan mission.
Where Was The Satellite Launched From?
China News Agency reported that the multi-mission communication satellite PakSat MM-1 was launched from the Xichang Satellite Center in China’s southwestern province of Sichuan and has entered the designated orbit. Pakistan Television has said that this satellite will provide a better internet facility and help improve television broadcasting, cellular phone, and broadband service.
Satellite Will Provide Service From August
Dawn has said that the satellite will start providing service in August. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated his fellow citizens on this. He also said that he hopes the satellite will help provide faster internet facilities nationwide.

PM Sharif said the communications satellite will not only improve the lives of Pakistani citizens but will also contribute to boosting economic activities, e-commerce and e-governance. He said it is a testimony to China and Pakistan’s strong cooperation and partnership.
