If our people are worried about visas, our diplomats are not safe in Canada and cannot work properly in Canada.
Bilateral Diplomatic Equality Should Be Ensured
Jaishankar said that India-Canada relations are currently going through a difficult phase. I hope the situation will improve soon. The Foreign Minister further said that if Canada ensures the safety of our diplomats, we will reopen the visa centres there. He said that Canadian diplomats have continuously interfered in our affairs. That’s why we talked about equality. On the question of violation of the Vienna Treaty, the Foreign Minister said that a provision has been made in the Vienna Treaty itself that bilateral diplomatic equality should be ensured. Canadian diplomats were continuously interfering in our internal affairs in large numbers, which describes the presence of diplomats in New Delhi and Ottawa as usual.

America recognized that diplomats play the most crucial role in resolving mutual differences between two countries.
