For the last 11 months, the war between Israel and Hamas has been going on in the Gaza Strip. On October 7, 2023, Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, attacked Israel. Amidst the war, the Israeli government has approached India for 10,000 construction workers and 5,000 caregivers for its infrastructure and health sector.
The Israeli Government Will Provide These Facilities To The Selected Candidates
According to the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Union Ministry of Skill Development, 16,832 candidates took the skill test in the first round of recruitment of construction workers in Israel. Out of these, 10,349 were selected. The selected candidates will receive a salary of Rs 1.92 lakh per month, medical insurance, food and accommodation facilities, and a bonus of Rs 16,515 monthly.
Hiring Team Will Come To India Next Week
NSDC says that the Population, Immigration and Border Authority (PIBA) has requested four special job roles: framework, iron bending, plastering, and ceramic tiling. The PIBA team will visit India in the coming week to select candidates. Candidates who meet the skill standards and other requirements will be chosen.
Where Will The Second Round Of Hiring Take Place in India?
According to the information, this second round of recruitment drives for construction workers will be held in Maharashtra. Apart from this, Israel needs 5,000 caregivers to improve its healthcare services. Candidates who have passed at least tenth standard and have a certificate issued by a recognized Indian institute. Those who have completed the Caregiving course and have received at least 990 hours of on-the-job training can apply for this.
This Deal Was Done Between India and Israel
In fact, after signing the G2G (Government-to-Government) agreement in November last year, the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) contacted all the states for recruitment. The first round of recruitment took place in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Telangana. The agreement was signed after India and Israel signed a framework agreement on the temporary employment of Indians in May 2023.
According to NSDC, this step aligns with the government’s vision to make India the world’s skill capital. Through this mandate, NSDC has prepared talented and skilled candidates who have received the necessary training from various training institutes. NSDC issues technical advisory for the Global South. It also facilitates knowledge exchange and capacity building with its international partners.
