Former US President Donald Trump is now seen to be caught in another case. After losing the presidential election 2021, Trump is accused of taking several classified documents to his home. Prosecutors from the Justice Department’s Special Counsel probing the case have informed Trump’s lawyers that they are targets for investigation.
According to the New York Times, the Special Council has completed its investigation and will soon press criminal charges against Trump.
Trump May Face Criminal Charges
On the other hand, regarding the investigation, Trump said that I had not received any such information that criminal charges would be imposed on me. This should not happen because I have done nothing wrong.
Trump has said many times that all the cases against him are a political conspiracy. According to him, this is being done to prevent him from contesting the presidential election 2024.
In one of his posts, Trump said he had been summoned to a federal court in Miami on Tuesday.
He wrote that I never thought it was possible that this could happen to the former President of the United States of America.
What Is The Controversy Related To Trump’s Secret Documents?
When leaving the White House in January 2021, Trump was accused of carrying several classified documents to his Florida-based luxury home Mar-a-Lego. Trump also refused to hand over these documents to the National Archives. After this, the matter reached the FBI. According to the New York Times, the FBI had recovered more than 300 secret documents from Trump’s home Mar-a-Lago and his private club in the investigation.
Trump Was Accused Of 34
Allegations were made against Donald Trump in 34 cases. However, he has declared himself innocent in all these cases. In the rally in Texas also, he told the allegations levelled against him as lies and said that the enemies were trying their best to stop him. However, he has failed miserably in this.
