Battle Between Two Different Ideologies In The Country
Earlier on Friday, Rahul Gandhi in Washington told members of the Indian American community here on Friday that there is a “battle” going on in India at present between two different ideologies and expressed confidence that the country will All opposition parties will join hands to ‘provide an alternative approach’ to the thinking of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that when he meets leaders of non-Congress opposition parties, he always stresses that ‘we must fight together’.
Addressing a diverse group of Indian Americans from and around Washington DC, Gandhi said, This is a battle of two ideologies for our country. One is Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of our country being a peaceful, non-violent, truthful and humble region. It is a thinking in which all our people, irrespective of religion, caste and language they speak, are equal partners in the progress of our nation. It is the thought of creating a country where every Indian feels free to express himself and sees himself as a part of our nation.
