The app is going to shut down its operation on 13th March. Through an in-app notice post, the company has said that the popular app Zili is being shut down due to operational adjustments.
Users Are Getting This Facility Before Zili Is Closed
Complete preparations have been made for the closure of Zili. However, the company allows Zili users to download and save their content. Zili users are also being given the option to redeem “Z-Points” reward points.
The company has given official information that user data will be deleted from the Zili server. Not only this, this user data cannot be recovered after the shutdown date.
Zili Was Introduced In The Year 2018
It is known that Chinese company Xiaomi launched Zili in the year 2018. This app of the company is quite popular in India. Especially after the Tiktok ban in the year 2020, there was a rapid increase in the number of users of Zili.
According to reports, Zili’s downloads had reached 8 million within three weeks after Tiktok was banned. Whereas earlier, the user base of the app was 3 million downloads. Also, the app used to come pre-installed on Xiaomi’s smartphones.
Not only Zili but these Xiaomi apps also disappeared from the Indian market. The Government of India stopped the Chinese app by stopping Xiaomi’s Mi Browser and Mi Video Call.
However, no such reason has been revealed yet for the closure of the short-form video app Zili.
