To Increase ARPU, OTT Support Is Being Given With Expensive Plans
Nowadays, telecom companies have started supporting OTT apps with prepaid plans because everyone uses these apps nowadays. Be it Vi, Airtel or Reliance Jio, all are helping some OTT apps with their projects. Some time ago, Reliance Jio launched an annual prepaid plan offering a premium subscription to Jio Cinema for free. Companies launch such intents to increase their ARPU. For those who do not know what ARPU is, it is the average revenue per user.
VI’s New Plan
Now, Vodafone Idea has launched an annual plan of Rs 3,199. Under this plan, customers will benefit from an Amazon Prime Video subscription for 365 days, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS every day, and 2GB of data daily. Reliance Jio and Airtel also offer similar prepaid plans to customers.
Netflix Subscription Is Available For Free With This Plan Of Jio
Last week, Reliance Jio launched a prepaid plan of Rs 1,499 in which the company offers 3GB data per day, unlimited calling, and a Netflix subscription with a validity of 84 days.
