The country’s leading telecom company, Reliance Jio, has announced a 22 percent increase in the prices of its prepaid tariff plans. The new tariff plans will start on July 3. The company’s base plan was Rs 155, which will increase to Rs 189.
Reliance Jio has increased the prices of its 19 plans, 17 of which are prepaid and 2 are postpaid. This is the first time that Jio has increased the tariff before Airtel.
How Expensive Have Jio’s Plans Become
Reliance Jio’s base plan is Rs 155, which has now increased to Rs 189. However, the plan’s validity will remain for 28 days only. The second plan is Rs 209, whose price has risen to Rs 249. There has been no change in the data benefits of these plans. The cost of the 239 plan, which offers unlimited 5G data, has been increased to Rs 299. In this plan, users get 28 days of validity.

Unlimited 5G Will Be Available In These Plans
Reliance Jio has also changed the tariff plan to include unlimited 5G data. From now on, those plans will offer 2GB daily data. The new plans will start on July 3.
JioSafe and JioTranslate Also Launched
Reliance Jio has also introduced two new services: JioSafe and JioTranslate. JioSafe is a secure communication app that offers calling, messaging, file transfer, and other features. The subscription for this app is Rs 199 per month.
JioTranslate is a multilingual communication app with features like voice call translation, voice message, text, and image translation. The subscription price of this app is Rs 99 per month. Along with this, the monthly subscription for both apps is Rs 298 per month.
