Apple will launch the iPhone 15 this year, rumoured to use a USB-C port instead of the Lightning port that most Android phones ship with. If this is true, then the users will get some relief. There will be no need to keep a separate charger for the users to travel again.
In the latest development, only the 2023 model is expected to get the facility of a Type-C port. According to information shared by an Apple developer, there is a hint that Apple may bring USB-C charging port for select older iPhone models, apart from the anticipated iPhone 15 lineup.

The developer detected two iPhone models inside the same code, which were not seen in previous beta iterations. These models differ from the four references to the iPhone 15 series found in the previous version of tvOS software.
It is believed that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus may come again with the USB-C charging port. But Apple has not officially confirmed anything on this. So take the news as a rumour.
