Instagram Channel feature: Meta has globally rolled out the channel feature for Instagram. That is, now anyone can get daily updates through this feature by joining the channel of their favourite creator. Meta had made the Channel feature live for some selected users in February, through which they could send videos, photos and new updates to their followers. This feature is live for everyone, and creators can use broadcast channels as a public one-to-many messaging tool.
With the help of the channel feature, creators can invite all their followers and share text, images and video updates. Not only this, but creators can also create voice notes in the channel and poll questions to get feedback from followers. The creator can post in the channel feature, and everyone else can view messages and enter their reactions to poll questions.
How Will It Work?
As soon as the channel feature is available to a creator, on sending the first message, the creator’s followers will get a notification to be added to the channel. Any user can see and search the creator’s channel, but only those who have followed it will get updates on the messages inside the channel.
Followers will also have the option to mute the channel or change the settings for updates.
From Where To Join The Channel?
To join any creator’s channel, you can do this by visiting their profile or story. People who are already followers of the creator will get it as soon as a nonfiction channel is created, and they can easily add to it.
