Telecom company Reliance Jio launched its wireless internet service, Jio AirFiber, in September this year. Now, lakhs of users have started getting their benefits in selected cities. With this service, users will benefit from 5G internet speed with WiFi without cable-based connection. It is claimed that with this, one can get a rate of up to 1.5Gbps.

Difference Between Jio AirFiber and JioFiber
The company is already offering its JioFiber service across the country, which allows installing WiFi, and many of its plans are available to the users. This service is different from AirFiber in that it requires a cable network to get its connection. Jio AirFiber offers 5G speeds over WiFi with wireless point-to-point radio links and direct wireless connections without cables.
It is claimed that with Jio AirFiber, users will be given better internet speed and get rates up to 1.5Gbps. At the same time, with JioFiber, users are being given the benefit of maximum speed up to 1Gbps. Both the services offer the benefit of OTT services with select plans. However, the benefits of AirFiber are currently available only in select cities. The company aims to provide high-speed internet with AirFiber in areas where cable networks cannot reach.

- First of all, go to Jio’s website and check whether Jio AirFiber service is available in your area or not.
- After this, you will have to make a booking. You can do this by visiting the nearest Jio store, with the help of the Jio website or MyJio app or by giving a missed call at 60008-60008.
- You will have to register for Jio AirFiber by giving the necessary information.
- After the stipulated time, you will get confirmation from the company and will be told when the installation work will be completed.
After booking, you will be given a Jio AirFiber connection. Apart from a WiFi router, you will also get a 4K smart set-top box and voice-activated remote. Besides, for this connection, an outdoor unit will also be installed on the rooftop of the house or office, through which signals will be received. After this setup, you can start using high-speed 5G internet.
