According to a report by Business Standard, Apple Inc.’s export of iPhones made in India has touched nearly $ 6 billion. This is one-third more than last year. By the end of the financial year, this figure can cross $10 billion. Encouraged by this, Apple is also working to increase its manufacturing capacity rapidly in the country. Due to the ongoing tension between the US and China, it wants to make as many products as possible in India. It also greatly benefits due to the subsidies, technology, and skilled workforce available in India.

Foxconn, Pegatron, and Tata Electronics Are Working For Apple

Three companies work for Apple in India: Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology Group, Pegatron Corp, and Tata Electronics. All three companies assemble iPhones in South India. Foxconn’s unit, located near Chennai, is Apple’s largest supplier. According to sources, about $1.7 billion iPhones have been exported from Tata Electronics’ factory in Karnataka. Last year, Tata Electronics became the first Indian company to make iPhones by purchasing Wistron Corp.
