RCB’s stand-in captain Virat Kohli’s stupendous form in IPL 2023 continued in the home game against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday. Chasing the target of 201 runs for the win, Virat Kohli completed his fifth half-century in 33 balls with the help of 6 fours. Virat kept holding one end; today, he did not get the support of in-form Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell from the other end.
In such a situation, he shared a 55-run partnership in 34 balls for the fourth wicket with young Mahipal Lomror to take the team past 100 runs. Even after Lomror was dismissed on 113, Virat returned to the pavilion after scoring 54 runs in 37 balls on 115.
3 Thousand T30 Runs Were Completed At Chinnaswamy Stadium
During this inning, Virat Kohli completed 3000 runs in the T20 format at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Virat is the first batsman in the world to score 3000 or more runs on any one ground. He has done this feat at RCB’s home ground, where he has also played many T20 matches for Team India. Out of about 11,500 runs scored in T20, it is a big thing to score 3,000 runs on one ground, too, in a country like India with more than 50 international stadiums.
