The first case happened in the 19th over of England’s innings only. Ben Duckett tried to play a reverse sweep shot off leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed but missed. The bat had hit the ground, and the ball was in the hands of the wicketkeeper. Aleem Dar declared out but saw in the review that there was no contact between the bat and the ball. Then the batsman was declared not out.

After this, the last ball of this over of Abrar hit the pad of Ben Duckett. Aleem Dar did not give out on appeal. Then, Pakistani captain Babar Azam took DRS, in which Ben Duckett was declared out. Both the decisions came against Aleem Dar, and he looked very disappointed.

After a few overs in the first session, Aleem Dar’s decision was changed again in Abrar’s own over. Former England captain Joe Root was on strike. Abrar appealed for LBW out against Root, but Aleem Dar did not give out. Then Babar took DRS, and the decision came in favour of Abrar. Root out, and once again, Aleem Dar looked disappointed.
