Shreyas Iyer Ruled Out The 1st IND vs AUS Test: The Indian team will play the first Test series of 2023 against Australia. This series will be played in the month of February-March. The first match of the series will be played in Nagpur on 9 February.
The Indian team is busy preparing for this series. Meanwhile, there has been news of the team’s star batsman Shreyas Iyer being ruled out of the first Test match. Iyer is out of the first match due to his back injury.
Iyer will regain his fitness by the second Test match. Earlier, he was included in the ODI series against New Zealand, but later he was sent to the National Cricket Academy, Bangalore, for rehab.

A source told The Indian Express, As expected, Iyer’s injury has not healed, and it will take at least two weeks for him to play cricket again. He will not be available for the first Test match, and his fitness in the second Test will determine his availability. Iyer has played a total of 7 Test matches for India so far. Earlier, Iyer appeared in good form in the Test series against Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, good news has also emerged for India in the form of Ravindra Jadeja. The star all-rounder recently appeared in the Ranji Trophy playing for Saurashtra. According to reports, Jadeja will be a part of the Indian team in the first Test match against Australia.
In the game played against Tamil Nadu in Ranji, Jadeja bowled 42 overs and took seven wickets. Jadeja was ruled out of the team due to his knee injury during the Asia Cup played in September 2022.

Jadeja will have to regain his full match fitness to be a part of the team in the first match. This final round of his fitness will be held at the National Cricket Academy. Significantly, Jadeja has played a total of 60 Test matches for the Indian team so far, in which he has scored 2523 runs at an average of 36.57 while batting. And in bowling, he has taken 242 wickets at an average of 24.71.
