Thanks to Rinku Singh, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated champions Gujarat Titans by three wickets. Batting first, Gujarat scored 204 runs for four wickets. Rinku Singh hit five sixes in the last five balls to give KKR a memorable three-wicket win. He remained unbeaten on 48 runs in 21 balls. Venkatesh Iyer scored the highest 83 runs for KKR. Gujarat’s stand-in captain Rashid Khan took a hat-trick wicket in the 17th over. He achieved three successes by giving 37 runs in four overs.
