The President of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, has again sparked fire through his statements. Responding once again to the statement of Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), he has said that if the Indian team does not come to Pakistan, they will have to play the World Cup without us.
Due to political tension, there has not been any bilateral series between India and Pakistan since 2012. At the same time, Team India has not visited Pakistan for 14 years. Last toured Pakistan in 2008 to play Asia Cup.
Controversial Statement Of Ramiz Raja again
Now next year again Asia Cup is to be hosted by Pakistan. Recently, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said that the Indian team would not go on a tour of Pakistan. Pakistan has been shocked since his statement. The PCB then immediately said that it would not come on the Indian tour for the ODI World Cup to be hosted by India next year.
Once again, Pakistan Board President Ramiz Raja has repeated the same statement. Talking to an Urdu news, Ramiz Raja said, ‘If the Pakistan team does not play in the ODI World Cup to be held in India next year, then who will watch the tournament? We have a clear say in this matter: if the Indian team comes here (Pakistan), then only we will go there (India) for the World Cup.
‘India Will Have To Play The World Cup Without Pakistan’
Ramiz Raja said, ‘If they (the Indian team) don’t come, they may have to play the World Cup without us. We will maintain our aggressive attitude. Our team has shown it by performing brilliantly. I have always said that we need to improve the economy of Pakistan cricket. This can happen only then; we show it by performing brilliantly.
The PCB chairman said, ‘We had defeated the Indian team in the last 2021 T20 World Cup. This time also defeated in Asia Cup. Indian team with billion dollar economy has been defeated twice in a year.
