Veteran cricket player Mahendra Singh Dhoni has filed a case in Ranchi court against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Vishwas of Aarka Sports and Management Limited. Diwakar had reportedly signed an agreement with Dhoni in 2017 to set up a world-class cricket academy. He failed to comply with its terms. Dhoni has alleged fraud of Rs 15 crore.
India Today has informed in its report that Aarka Sports was obliged to pay franchise fees and share profits in the agreement, but this was not done. Despite several efforts, the terms and conditions of the agreement were disregarded. As a result, Mahendra Singh Dhoni cancelled the authority letter given to Aarka Sports on August 15, 2021.
Loss Claim Of More Than Rs 15 Crore
Apart from this, several legal notices were sent to Aarka Sports on behalf of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but to no avail. Dayanand Singh, who represents Dhoni through Vidhi Associates, has claimed that Aarka Sports cheated him, India Today reported. This resulted in a loss of more than Rs 15 crore.
New Year Celebrated In Dubai
Mahendra Singh Dhoni recently returned home after spending his New Year in Dubai. Dhoni was seen welcoming the new year with his family and friends. Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was also seen with Dhoni during the trip. Dhoni also celebrated Christmas with his friends and family in Dubai. Pant met MS Dhoni after arriving in Dubai for the IPL 2024 mini-auction held for the first time in the UAE on December 19.
