IPL 2023, Chennai Super Kings: Amidst IPL 2023, there is a demand to ban Chennai Super Kings. A Tamil Nadu MLA has demanded a ban on CSK. Chennai is one of the most famous franchises of IPL. The MLA says no player from Tamil Nadu state is in the Chennai team. SP Venkateshwaran, MLA from Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu, has raised this demand. SP Venkateshwaran says that the Chennai team is profiting from the people but is not selecting players from Tamil Nadu.
SP Venkateshwaran is an MLA from Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), a regional party. The party won five seats in the 2021 assembly elections. The party’s MLA says that CSK is a brand in the form of Tamil Nadu, but the team lacks players from its state.
Speaking to the news agency PTI, SP Venkateshwaran said, “They are making profits from our people through advertisements and projecting it as Tamil Nadu team, but there is no talented player from our state (in the team) .” Venkateshwaran raised the Vidhan Sabha issue during the debate on the demand for grants for the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department.
CSK Will Play Its Fourth Match Against Rajasthan Today
