Indian tennis player Madhwin Kamat has been arrested. He is accused of a shameful act with a girl. An FIR was lodged last month against Ahmedabad-based player Madhwin Kamat. A girl had alleged that Madhwin defamed her by calling her a sex worker. The girl has also said in the allegation that Madhwin had put up posters all over the city to defame her.
Numbers Were Written On Posters
Madhwin is 22, and the girl is also the same age. The girl said that her numbers were pasted on her posters in Ahmedabad. Due to this, she had to face defamation and trouble. The photos on the poster were downloaded from Instagram by manipulating them, and defamatory content was written on them. The girl’s troubles increased when she started receiving continuous calls on the number written on the poster. She immediately informed Ahmedabad’s cyber cell of this. At present, the crime branch is investigating the case.
Cyber Cell Unit Investigated
When the Cyber Cell Unit investigated the matter, it was found that the girl’s photographs had been tampered with and pasted on the light poles. CCTV footage of posters being put up also surfaced. Police said that Madhwin had gone abroad to play tennis. Police say that Madhwin and the girl were friends, but their communication stopped later.

The girl learned about her posters being put up across the city when she received a call from an unknown mobile phone. The person calling asked for escort service from her. After this, he started harassing her continuously by calling her an escort girl. In this regard, the girl learned that someone had downloaded her photo from Instagram and made a poster. Only then was the whole matter revealed.
