‘We Also Have Some Respect’; This Cricketer Got Angry On BCCI Regarding Asia Cup

The Asia Cup will be held this year, but where it will be saved is yet to be decided. Indeed, India will not go to its neighbouring country Pakistan for this tournament. After this decision of BCCI, former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Rameez Raja, has threatened to withdraw from the ODI World Cup to be organized by India.

The controversy regarding the Asia Cup is continuously increasing. Since BCCI Secretary Jay Shah refused to play in Pakistan, Pakistani cricketers have been furious and given provocative statements. Former Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal is also adding fuel to the fire.

Kamran Akmal Slams BCCI

However, reports have claimed that Pakistan may not host the tournament, and UAE is emerging as one of the alternative venues. On the Nadir Ali podcast, Kamran Akmal said Pakistan should not tour India if Team India withdraws from the Asia Cup.

He said Pakistan should play the Asia Cup, even if it is played in the United Arab Emirates. But if the Indian team does not want to come to Pakistan, we should not play the World Cup match against them. We should not go for the World Cup. It is for the ICC and the PCB to decide, but we also have some respect. We have also been world champions. This matter is not between two boards but between the two governments.

At the same time, a PCB official said, We have already had successful tours of many other countries, including Australia, England and New Zealand. That’s why the Indian team should also come to Pakistan. However, the BCCI has said in prominent words that the Indian government will not allow the team to go to Pakistan. That’s why the venue should be shifted somewhere else.
