The BCCI has included Ishan Kishan in the Indian team for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia. Ishaan has been selected in the team in place of injured KL Rahul. BCCI informed me about this on Monday.
KL Rahul was injured while playing for the Lucknow Super Giants team in the Indian Premier League 2023. On May 1, Rahul injured his thigh in a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After this, they were examined. It was found that he would undergo surgery and then have to stay at the National Cricket Academy for rehab. Due to this injury, he was ruled out of the remaining matches of the IPL and the final of the World Test Championship.

The World Test Championship Final (WTC Final) will be played between Australia and India at the Oval ground in the capital of England, London, from June 7 to 11.
Left-arm fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat had a shoulder injury. He is currently undergoing strength and rehab at the National Cricket Academy. A decision will be taken later on his playing in the final of the World Test Championship.
Umesh Yadav was injured in the left hamstring in the 36th match of IPL 2023. This match was played on April 26 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He is currently under the supervision of KKR’s medical team. And he started bowling lightly in rehab. The medical team of BCCI is in touch with the medical team of KKR. He has a keen eye on Umesh’s condition.
