Opener Jos Buttler has left the Rajasthan Royals team in IPL 2024 to prepare for the T20 World Cup 2024. The Rajasthan team is currently in second position in IPL 2024 with 16 points after eight wins and four losses in 12 matches. The team has to win one of its remaining two matches to reach the playoffs. But even before the next two matches, Butler has left Rajasthan and returned to England.
Butler is believed to have left the team because before the T20 World Cup in 2024, England had to play a T20 series with Pakistan, and Butler would lead the team.
Rajasthan Royals has shared a video of Butler leaving the camp before the match against Punjab Kings in IPL 2024. Butler has played 11 IPL matches in the current season, scoring 359 runs, with the highest score of 107*. He last played a match against Chennai Super Kings, scoring 21 runs in 25 balls.

The four-match T20I series between England and Pakistan will start on May 22. This will be the last T20I series of both teams before the World Cup. After this, both teams will play in the T20 World Cup. The first match of the T20 series between Pakistan and England will be played at the Yorkshire Cricket Ground in Leeds, England.
