PCB Bowed Before BCCI, Did This Jugaad For Organizing Asia Cup In Pakistan

Amid the ongoing impasse over the Asia Cup, Pakistan may continue as the host, and India may be offered to play its matches in the UAE. According to the news agency PTI, the Pakistan Cricket Board sources gave this information. In such a situation, if India reaches the final, the final will also be held in UAE.

Significantly, an emergency meeting of the Asian Cricket Council was held in Bahrain on February 4. Earlier, ACC had released its schedule in which Pakistan was not mentioned as the tournament host. Talking to the media here, PCB chief Najam Sethi said there will be further talks on the issue on the sidelines of the ICC meeting next month as the problem is yet to be resolved.

What Did Najam Sethi Say

Najam Sethi said, What should I say about what happened in the ACC meeting? However, reliable sources have said that there is a possibility that Pakistan will continue to host the tournament. Still, some matches will be held in the UAE, and India will play all their games there. If India reaches the final, the final will also be held there.

The Teams Do Not Play Bilateral Cricket

Explain that the Asia Cup is to be held in Pakistan in September this year, but BCCI secretary and ACC chief Jay Shah had said in October last year that the Indian team would not go to Pakistan. The two groups do not play bilateral cricket due to poor political relations between the two countries. Neither India goes to Pakistan, nor Pakistan comes to India. Both face-to-face only in multi-nation tournaments like Asia Cup or World Cup.

India-Pakistan Face-To-Face

In 2022, there was a face-to-face between Team India and Pakistan twice in the Asia Cup. At the same time, there was a match in T20 World Cup. Team India won the group match in the Asia Cup. He had to face defeat in Super-4. Team India won the thrilling game in the T20 World Cup.
