Caribbean all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has retired from IPL. Chennai Super Kings had decided to release Bravo before the next season of IPL, a few days after which they took this decision. Dwayne Bravo will be seen as the Lean Bowling Coach of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2023. Significantly, Lakshmipathy Balaji had decided to take a break for the upcoming season.
Dwayne Bravo, 39, said, I am looking forward to this new journey because it is something I see myself doing after the end of my cricket career. I enjoy working with the bowlers, and it is a role that I am excited about. I don’t think I will have any difficulty in playing this role.

Bravo said, When I am playing, I always work with the bowlers and develop plans and ideas to stay one step ahead of the batters. The only difference is that I will no longer be standing mid-on or mid-off. I never thought I would become the highest wicket-taker in the history of IPL. But I am happy to be a part of IPL history.
Bravo has participated in every year of the IPL except the 2017 IPL season. He was first signed by Mumbai Indians in 2008 and stayed with Mumbai for three seasons. After this, in the auction of 2011, CSK did Bravo in their court. Since CSK was banned for two years, in 2016, Gujarat Lions took him into their team. In the year 2018, Bravo again returned to CSK and remained a part of it till the 2022 season.
