Why Are All Countries Sending Missions To The Moon’s South Pole?

India has created history by landing Chandrayaan-3 on the southern pole of the moon. Now, the US space agency NASA is also preparing to send the mission to the moon’s South Poll. The aim of this mission of NASA will be Scientific Discovery. But why are all countries sending missions one after the other on the moon? After all, what they want. Let us tell you.

Actually, Helium-3 is one of the most expensive things in the Earth. The price of one kilo of helium-3 is around Rs 12.5 crore. At the same time, scientists estimate that nearly 1.1 million tons of helium-3 exist on the moon, and a large part of it is on the South Poll.

What Is Helium-3?

A stable isotope of helium gas is helium-3. It is equipped with protons and neutrons. According to scientists, it can prove to be an important source of energy. The special thing is that neither helium-3 has any waste nor radiation comes out. This means the energy that will make energy will be completely clean.

Scientists estimate that only 1 gram of helium-3 to 165 MW of electricity can be made. With this, electricity can be supplied to a state like Uttar Pradesh for about 16 hours.

Where Is Helium-3 Available On Earth?

Now the question is also, where is the helium-3 that is being sent one after the other to the moon? Where is it on the Earth? Scientists said that helium-3 is found in the core of the Earth, i.e. the interiors. Arriving here also makes it difficult to go to the moon. Its quantity on Earth is limited. Some time ago, the report of the Journal of US Geographical Union was published, according to which Helium-3 is constantly leaking from the Earth’s core.

But scientists do not know where the place is. Every year, about 2 kg of Helium-3 is leaked from the Earth. However, scientists say that most of Helium-3 was over after the Big Bang. But it is not known at the moment why Helium-3 is leaking after 4.56 billion years from the Earth’s core.
