Vande Bharat Express Sets New Speed Record, Reaches Goa 24 Minutes Early

The Vande Bharat Express train between Mumbai in Maharashtra and Madgaon in Goa completed its first commercial journey about 30 hours before the scheduled time. This journey was completed in 9:30 hours. On Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi virtually flagged off this semi-high-speed Madgaon-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express.

Railway officials said it reached Madgaon station at 3:06 pm, 24 minutes before its scheduled time. According to the National Inquiry System of Indian Railways, the train reached Panvel station late by 8 minutes at 6:38 am. After a delay of 12 minutes, the train left at 6:44 am. It reached Khed station in Ratnagiri district at 8:49 am, one minute behind schedule and departed at 8:51 am. The train reached Ratnagiri station at 10:32 am, 8 minutes before time. It left at 10:47 am after a delay of 2 minutes. The train reached Kankavli station in Sindhudurg district on time and then went to Tivim in Goa.

On the other hand, according to the Central Railway, the Mumbai-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Mumbai and on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Madgaon during the monsoon season.

As per the monsoon timetable, the train will take approximately 10 hours to cover the distance between Mumbai and Madgaon. In non-monsoon months, Vande Bharat Express will cover a distance of 586 km in approx. 8 hours. It will leave Mumbai every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5:25 am and reach Madgaon at 3 pm.

At the same time, Central Railway said that the train would leave Madgaon at 12:20 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and reach Mumbai at 10:25 pm. This train will depart from Mumbai at 5:25 am and arrive at Madgaon at 1:10 pm, while it will depart from Madgaon at 10:25 pm. It Will reach Mumbai at 2:20 pm.
