UPPCL News: The longest 33 thousand kV line in the Ajgain area of the district is highly loaded. Faults occur every day, and the power of the entire area goes off when the shutdown is done for repairs.
To find a permanent solution to this problem, the Power Corporation has approved the construction of another power substation in Sarai Joga in the district’s business plan. Land has also been marked for the 33/11 KVA substation, which will be built at about eight crore rupees. Now, only the process of agency selection for construction remains.
Substations Being Built In All Five Distribution Block Areas
The district’s power system is being upgraded with the Revamp scheme. Everything from smart meters to power lines and dilapidated poles is being replaced in this sequence. A new substation is being built in the five distribution block areas. Even after this, many district areas demanded a new power substation due to excessive load. One of these areas is Ajgain.
There is a 33/11 KVA substation in Ajgain, which is causing excessive load in the surrounding area. Also, the 33 thousand KV line between Sonic and Ajgain is one of the longest lines in the district. Due to this, the fault problem is increasing in the said area. While removing those faults, the power supply to Ajgain, Nawabganj Mawai, and Sohramau remains stalled.
Proposals Were Sent For Three Power Substations
To solve this problem, proposals to establish three power substations were prepared in the district’s business plan and sent to the Power Corporation. The Power Corporation from the Hasanganj distribution section in the Ajgain Sarai Joga area included the proposal to develop a 33/11 KVA substation in Sarai.
The corporation has approved the establishment of the Sarai Joga substation and has given Rs eight crore. At the same time, the distribution section has also marked the land for the construction of the substation in Sarai Joga. Now, the tender process for construction is pending from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitaran.
