A tent city has been set up on 100 hectares in front of the Ganga Ghats of Varanasi towards Ramnagar. It has a seating capacity of 200 people. It has been developed on the lines of a tent city in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Kashi Tent City is equipped with a Swiss Cottage. It is in the form of three categories Ganga Darshan Villa, Premium Tent and Super Deluxe Tent.
No Need To Search For Hotels
Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) officials said the tent city would provide a unique experience to tourists and relieve them from the difficulties associated with finding suitable accommodation during the peak season of the ancient town.
What Facilities Will You Get
Apart from premium accommodation and beautiful views, the tent city is also equipped with all kinds of facilities, including the facility to carry out religious rituals. There will also be a food court for the tourists. The tent city also has a gaming zone, riding zone, spa zone and other facilities.
Varanasi’s Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma said we had installed a great pool on the floating jetty. On this, people can take a holy dip in the Ganges. Booking for the tent city will start on 15th January. The pool on the floating jetty can accommodate around 25 people at a time.
VDA officials initially said there was a plan to complete the work before Dev Diwali 2022. But due to the prolonged flood-like situation in the Ganga and technical reasons, the tent city could not be set up as per the initial deadline. As per the records of the UP government, more than seven crores (70 million) of tourists visited Kashi in 2022.
Rent
The 900 sq ft Ganga Darshan Villa is the largest and can be booked for Rs 20,000 per person for one night and two days.
River-facing AC villas with living area, king-size bed, hall and private beach, plunge pool, Rajwadi sofa set, dining table, study table with lamp, dressing table with chair, mini fridge, TV and other amenities. There is a geyser, room heater, wardrobe and security locker etc. Similarly, the size of both premium and super deluxe tents is 500 square feet. Its package is 14 thousand and 12 thousand rupees respectively.
