TTE Slapped A Passenger In A Moving Train, Railway Minister Orders Suspension

An incident of TTE misbehaving with a passenger on the train has come to light. Its video is going viral on social media. In the video, TTE is seen using abusive language with the passenger. Not only this, TTE is slapping the passenger. Railways has suspended the accused TTE in the case. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the incident was shocking. Investigation into this matter has been started.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said an Indian Railways ticket examiner (TTE) had been suspended by the authorities after a video of him slapping a passenger went viral on social media on Thursday. He said the Railway Department has also started an investigation against the accused TTE. It is being told that the passenger was travelling without a ticket, which displeased the TTE so much that he slapped him.

The alleged video of the incident is going viral on social media, in which the accused TTE is seen repeatedly slapping a passenger in Barauni-Lucknow Express (15203). It is seen in the video that the passenger is requesting the accused TTE not to assault him, but the TTE is refusing to stop. A passenger captures this TTE action on camera. TTE is also misbehaving with the passenger who made the video.

Responding to the video, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “There is zero tolerance for such misbehaviour; TTE has been suspended.”

Earlier in the day, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Lucknow division took cognizance of the video and said, “The concerned TTE has been suspended, and an inquiry has been initiated against the concerned.”
