TATA To Manufacture iPhone In India For Global Market, A Major Blow To China

Indian company Tata has announced it will make an iPhone in India for the global market. This decision of the company will strengthen the Indian economy. Manufacturing of phones like iPhones in India will enhance the country’s economy. Along with this, Apple’s move towards the Indian market is a big blow for China. Because most of the iPhones are manufactured in China for the global market.

Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar Gave Information

Electronics and Technology Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar provided information about Tata manufacturing iPhone for the global market. He said the project will be completed within two and a half years, and the government will support Tata Group and other Indian electronics companies in their efforts to partner with global brands.

Chandrashekhar wrote on Twitter, “@GoI_MeitY stands in full support of the growth of global Indian electronics companies, which will support global electronics brands who want to make India their trusted manufacturing and talent partner and make India a global leader. Want to realize PM’s goal of making electronics power.”

The move marks a significant change in Apple’s strategy. Apple has relied on Chinese factories to produce most of its new iPhones and deliver them to customers worldwide.

However, the ongoing trade war between the US and China and rising Chinese labour costs have led Apple to seek alternative production sources. India emerged as an attractive option with its large consumer market, skilled workforce and favourable government policies.
