Ramlala Gets Summer Look, Devotees Emotional in Ayodhya Temple

The makeup of Ramlala in Ayodhya’s Ram temple has changed according to the summer season. He is now offered silk clothes, light silver ornaments, and seasonal fruits. This change has been made to provide coolness to the Lord, following the Vedic tradition. This is a unique spiritual experience for the devotees, a symbol of the grace of the Lord and association with nature.

The temple administration changed the Lord’s makeup and offerings during the Ram Navami festival. Now Ramlala is being made to wear silk clothes given the heat, which are light, soft and by the season. Also, the Lord is now adorned with light silver and gemstone ornaments instead of heavy gold ornaments. This change is not limited to makeup; the Lord’s crown, earrings, necklace, and angavastra are all changed according to the summer season.

Changes Made By Vedic Tradition

According to the temple priests and the makeup committee, this change is based on the pure Vedic tradition, in which the service of the Lord is done by nature and season. Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has ensured that the Lord gets complete coolness in summer. For this, special Khadi and silk clothes have been selected to provide coolness to the body. Flower garlands now use flowers with a cooling effect, such as roses, jasmine, and champa.

Changes In The Offerings Of The Lord

Given the summer season, changes have also been made in the Lord’s offerings. Seasonal fruits that provide coolness, such as kheer, rabri, sugar candy-water, gulkand, etc., are included so that the Lord’s service is pure and gentle in every way. This summer, the makeup of Ramlala has become a special centre of attraction for the devotees. The devotees coming for darshan get emotional after seeing the Lord in this new form.

Devotees Are Getting Emotional

Every morning, when the devotees get the darshan of Ramlala dressed in silk yellow clothes, it feels as if the Lord himself has descended on earth. Through this decoration, not only is the Lord being served, but the devotees’ feelings are also being respected. This initiative not only strengthens the tradition of devotion but also tells that Ramlala is alive not only in the temple but in every season and every emotion.
