Vande Bharat Express Big Update: Most of the country’s states have received the gift of Vande Bharat trains. Currently, 60 Vande Bharat trains are running on the tracks in different states. Soon, the services of the Vande Bharat sleeper train will also start. Vande Bharat Routes have also been selected for sleeper trains. On many routes, these premium trains have become the first choice of most passengers. However, many seats are also going vacant on some routes.
According to the latest report, the Secunderabad-Nagpur Vande Bharat train (Secunderabad-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express) runs almost empty. About 80% of the seats on this train are vacant daily.
Vande Bharat Running Empty On This Route
According to officials, only 20 per cent of the passengers are travelling on this route. The train is running with mostly empty coaches. According to information from railway sources, on September 22, Vande Bharat train number (20102) left from Secunderabad to Nagpur with more than 1,200 seats vacant. In comparison, the total capacity of the train was 1,440 seats. Less than 10 passengers had reservations in two executive class coaches with 88 seats.
Will It Be Closed?
Railway officials are apprehensive about stopping the operation of the Secunderabad-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express. The Vande Bharat train started on this route on September 16. Railway officials have said that if the number of passengers remains low, the number of coaches will be reduced. The train runs with 20 coaches but can be reduced to 8 coaches.
In such a situation, the number of seats will be reduced by more than 500. The railway will connect the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra with Ramagundam, Kazipet, and Secunderabad, enabling the local population to travel for business, family, or tourism.
