Rahul Gandhi’s Surprise Visit To Toda Tribals; Danced With Them Wearing Their Traditional Attire

Rahul Gandhi Dance Video: On Saturday (August 12), Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spent time with the Toda community members in Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiri district. He visited the Toda people’s deity temple and danced with them during this.

Rahul Gandhi was on his way to his constituency in Kerala after the Supreme Court stayed his conviction in a defamation case related to his remark on the Modi surname. Meanwhile, he stopped here at Muthunadu to interact with the members of the tribal community.


On this occasion, the women of the Toda community wished that Rahul Gandhi should return to this place as the Prime Minister. Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the country next year. He was presented with a traditional shawl by road from Coimbatore on his arrival here. Rahul Gandhi danced with Toda tribals and also tasted their traditional food.

Rahul visited the temple of the community’s deity and witnessed the traditional practices there. Later, Rahul Gandhi witnessed the traditional sport of Ilavattakkal, where young women used all their strength to lift a round stone.
