Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently made history by winning the Lok Sabha elections of India and becoming the PM for the third consecutive time. At the same time, he is set to go on his first foreign trip after winning the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He will go to Italy today to attend the G7 summit.
There Will Be An Opportunity To Connect With World Leaders
Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra told in New Delhi that India had been invited as an outreach country to the conference on Friday. He said this visit will be an opportunity to connect with world leaders in the conference on important issues for India and the Global South.
This will be India’s 11th and PM Modi’s fifth consecutive participation in the summit. The Prime Minister will attend the outreach session. Apart from the conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of the G7 countries.
Along with this, PM Modi will also hold a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The Foreign Secretary said India would be invited to the appropriate level at the Ukraate Peace Summit in Switzerland.
About 90 countries will participate in the conference held in Switzerland this month. The visit will allow PM Modi to engage with other world leaders at the summit on issues of importance to India and the global South.
