New Generation Renault Duster Spied Testing, Here’s What We Know So Far

New Generation Renault Duster: The Dacia Duster has been well-received in the global market since its launch and is one of the company’s most successful models. Based on the monocoque chassis, the SUV comes in a pocket-friendly budget. It was this SUV that helped popularize the Renault brand in India.

The company has been testing the new Renault Duster (Dacia Duster) for some time, which has created a stir in the compact SUV/crossover segment. It is likely to be launched in India as well. Recently, it has been seen once again during testing. Let’s know what has been seen in the new spy shots.

How Is The Look?

The new Renault Duster was spotted in a new avatar during testing; it is much bigger than the second-generation model. This third-generation model is based on the CMF-B platform, which supports ICE, hybrid and BEV powertrains. Its design is similar to the Renault Bigster concept and is very aggressive. The front fascia features three stacked LED elements with an aggressive robotic appeal.

Dacia or Renault badge will be seen in its centre. Only the exterior LED lights were seen in the previous spy pictures. In the new pictures, the central LED lighting is also on, along with the exterior.

Styling and Design

The SUV gets a muscular and boxy bumper with a wide grille; it is expected to get flared wheel arches and a wide rear haunch like the Bigster concept. 17-inch alloy wheels have been seen in it. Dark finishing has been given on these 5-spoke design alloy wheels. Its ground clearance is expected to be around 220 mm to 230 mm.

Also, it is more likely to get an AWD drivetrain. The front windscreen is quite low in height, which could be attributed to the straight A-pillars. Its India-spec model is expected to get much space inside, in which rear disc brakes can also be given. Its exhaust differs from the body, which will likely change in the production model. The tail lights are divided into several parts. It also gets a sporty roof spoiler similar to the Nissan Magnite. Its design is expected to improve further.

Will Be Launched By 2025

The interior of this SUV has not been revealed in the spy pictures that have surfaced so far. But unlike the outgoing models, it is expected to get major improvements in design and integrated layout along with better build quality. The company can showcase this car in 2024 and launch it by 2025.

This SUV will also be found in India, where it can compete with Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Honda Elevate. The Creta has a diesel and a petrol engine, while the Grand Vitara gets a 1.5L petrol and a CNG powertrain option with a hybrid system.
