Work on the Bullet Train project is going on quickly to complete the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project soon. National High-Speed Rail Corporation has informed us that the construction of a 394-meter-long tunnel in Navi Mumbai has been completed. Work on an additional driven intermediate tunnel is underway at Ghansoli. The work on the 21-kilometer tunnel between Bandra-Kurla Complex and Shilphata has also been expedited. According to officials, the excavation work under the project started on December 6 last year.
A 394-meter-long tunnel was built in just six months. 27515 kg explosives were used under the supervision of experts, and explosions were carried out 214 times with control. High-level equipment has been used to ensure safety and safety standards are being taken care of during the excavation of ADIT. Building a 3.3 km long tunnel is to be started using the New Austrian Tunneling Method. This ADIT is inclined by 26 meters. 1.6-meter tunnelling work is to be done on each side.

16-kilometre Tunnel Will Be Dug With Machines
According to officials, the project will build 21 kilometre-long tunnels. Of these, 16 kilometres will be excavated using boring machines, and the 5-kilometer tunnel will be built using NATM (New Austrian Tunneling Method).
After ADIT construction and operation, vehicles will be directly entered into the main tunnel. This will also be handled during construction so that evacuation can be done quickly in an emergency. National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has informed us that the tunnel connecting Mumbai station at BKC to Shilphata is being built rapidly. This tunnel is to be built about 21 kilometres long. About 7 kilometres of this tunnel will pass under the sea in Thane Creek.
