Maharashtra Launches Youth Support Scheme, Shinde Government Introduces Ladla Bhai Yojana

Ladla Bhai Yojana: On Wednesday, the Maharashtra government announced a special scheme for Ashadhi Ekadashi to benefit the state’s youth. The Eknath Shinde government of the state launched a new scheme called ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’, which will benefit the youth who have passed 12th. Under this scheme, students who complete the 12th class will get Rs 6,000 monthly.

Additionally, students with diploma holders will get Rs 8,000 monthly, while youth who complete graduation will be given Rs 10,000 monthly. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde made this announcement in Pandharpur, which is being linked to the Maharashtra assembly elections later this year.

The Government Will Give a Stipend Along With Job Training

It is worth noting that the opposition in Maharashtra has long highlighted the issue of rising unemployment among the youth, and the Shinde government’s announcement of financial assistance for the youth can be seen as a response to these concerns.

Announcing the scheme, CM Shinde said that the government will provide financial assistance to the state youth for training in the factories where they will work. He emphasized that this is the first time in history that a government has introduced such a scheme, citing it as a solution to the problem of unemployment. Under this scheme, the youth will be given factory apprenticeship opportunities, and the government will provide them with a stipend.

Uddhav Thackeray Had Raised The Issue Of Unemployment

Recently, Uddhav Thackeray had raised the issue of unemployed youth in Maharashtra. He had demanded a scheme for boys in Maharashtra similar to the Ladli Behan Yojana in Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted that today, there is no difference between boys and girls; thus, both should benefit equally from such schemes.

By launching the Ladla Bhai Yojana, the Shinde government aims to address the serious issue of youth unemployment and provide financial assistance to help the youth gain valuable work experience through apprenticeships. This initiative is also being seen as a strategic move to gain voters’ support ahead of the Assembly elections, showcasing the government’s efforts to support and empower the youth of Maharashtra.
