What is the Lakhpati Didi Scheme?

PM Modi had announced this scheme during his Independence Day speech. Through this scheme, skill development training is to be given to 2 crore women.

This training will teach women many skills, such as plumbing, making LED bulbs, and operating and repairing drones. This scheme is used through self-help groups in every state.

The Finance Minister said in the budget speech that many women benefit from this scheme. The target number of beneficiaries has been increased from 2 crore to 3 crore.

Eligibility For Lakhpati Didi Scheme

1. There is no age limit for this scheme.
2. All Indian women can take advantage of this scheme.
3. For this scheme, women must join ‘self-help groups’ in their state.

1. Preparing a ‘Self Help Group’ business plan would be the best way to benefit from this scheme.
2. After the business plan is ready, the self-help group will send this plan and application to the government.
3. After this, the government will review this application. If the application is accepted, you can avail of this scheme’s benefits this scheme.
4. Under this scheme, an interest-free loan of Rs 5 lakh is also given in many states.
