IT Raid On 3 Shoe Businessmen Of Agra, More Than Rs 30 Crore Cash Recovered

The Income Tax Department (IT) took major action on Saturday and raided the premises of 3 big shoe business people in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. According to the information received, the raid by the Income Tax Department continued till late at night—a pile of notes at the place of Ramnath Dang, owner of Harmilap Traders.

Officials have recovered cash worth more than Rs 60 crore. The laptop, mobile, and documents have been confiscated. Documents related to investments in land and gold have also been seized. Bundles of currency notes were found in cupboards, shoe boxes, and beds.

At 2 o’clock in the night, the note-counting machines overheated, and other machines were called for. Simultaneous action occurred at BK Shoes, Manshu Footwear, and Harmilap Traders. Income Tax Department officials have expressed the possibility of surrendering undisclosed income of more than Rs 100 crore.

The Income Tax Department received information from intelligence sources that shoe traders were evading income tax. After the raid, pictures of the seized cash appeared on social media. One photo shows a bed filled with Rs 500 notes in bundles. The Income Tax Department team raided the shoe traders’ showroom at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Raid On The Premises Of Shoe Businessman Dang

According to media reports, the Income Tax team raided several locations of shoe trader Dang of Agra, where cash worth crores of rupees was recovered. When the Income Tax Department team reached the showroom, they evacuated the customers and started the search operation. The counting of money is still going on. In this raid that lasted for about 5 hours, the Income Tax Department team searched every corner of the showroom. The IT team has also raided many more shoe trader locations. Such colossal tax evasion has surprised everyone.

Income Tax Department In Action In Jaipur Also

The Income Tax Department is in the mood to take action against tax evaders in the country. Before Agra, the department continued its raids on ARL Group and Akshat Builders on Saturday for the third day.

Till now, the IT team has recovered more than 16 kg of gold and other property worth crores. In the Income Tax Department’s action on the second day, the teams found documents worth crores of rupees from the operators of ARL Group and Akshat Builders.
