According to a report by News18, the government’s revenue figures are till August. By October next month, the income earned from selling scrap may exceed the limit of Rs 1000 crore.
The government is running a cleaning campaign in administrative offices. The second campaign will run from October 2 to October 31. Whose primary goal is cleanliness? This campaign has been organized to reduce the backlog of work in the administration. A similar event was held in October last year. At that time, the government had earned Rs 371 crore.
In 2021, the government launched the first such cleanliness drive. In October of the same year, Rs 62 crore was recovered from the cancelled documents. Emptying the steel shelves of various government offices and auctioning all seized old vehicles are on the agenda of this campaign. Currently, 31 lakh unnecessary government files have been removed from the cabinet. In the last two years, 185 lakh square feet of space has been vacated.
In the second round of the cleanliness campaign, the officials will start such a cleanliness campaign at 1.01 lakh office addresses of the Central Government. Let us tell you that in the third phase, a cleaning campaign will be carried out in about 1.5 lakh offices. All departments of the government are taking part in this campaign.
