A class five student in a Surat school visited the temple at Dumas Beach. This child named Lakhan reached the sea and went into deep water to see the immersion of Ganesh idols. The family kept searching for him until the next day, but he was nowhere to be found. Everyone understood that he was no longer alive. But after this, a miracle happened, and the child returned home alive.
Fortunately, Lakhan got support from the Ganesh idol immersed in the deep sea. He held the idol in the sea for 24 hours. It was floating in the sea at 18 nautical miles from the coast. Just then, the fishing boat ‘Navadurga’ passed by there. Lakhan called out and waved his hand, seeing that the fishermen immediately reached there. They made Lakhan sit in the boat.
Lakhan was brought to Dholai port in Navsari. The police were informed before reaching the shore. The ambulance had reached there before the boat could go. According to police, 14-year-old Lakhan was reunited with his family after 36 hours. When the family was informed about this, tears of joy came to the eyes of the mourners. The child was admitted to Navsari Hospital.
A crowd gathered to see the child in the hospital. Gujarat BJP President and MP CR Patil also reached the hospital to inquire about his well-being. Patil told Lakhan to make good use of his new life and become a doctor after studying. Patil told the media that he was also surprised that a small child hung on to the remains of a Ganesh idol in the sea for so long and was saved from drowning.
